Day 9

Three albums tonight. All by the country band Alabama. The three on the turntable tonight were Feels So Right, Mountain Music, and The Closer You Get.
Now before you call me a dumbass for having these records, let me explain. I grew up with this stuff. Alabama were one of my Dad's favorite bands. "Mountain Music" brings back a lot of good memories of driving around in the car with my Dad. And how can anyone not like "Love in the First Degree"?

I won't get into much detail on these records. I did think all three would probably be cheesy as hell, but I'm still digging it. "Feels So Right" is a great opening tune. Set the whole tempo of the album nicely. I was also surprised that "Changes Comin' On" came in at 6 minutes and 6 seconds. That's unheard of for a country song!

So needless to say, I'll be keeping these three lps. It's good stuff, good memories, and it's always good to have some country records on hand.

Well, I've done this 9 straight days, but now I'll have to take a break. I have family coming in from Georgia tomorrow and they'll be sleeping in the record room. And the same day they leave, Jessica and I will be flying up to Columbia, Missouri to visit her hometown and family for a few days. I really like it up there.

I'll be back on here as soon as we're back in town. I'm looking forward to it. I've become obsessed with doing this. See you in about 10 days.
