Day 22

Asleep At The Wheel- Texas Gold and Served Live

Asleep At The Wheel is a band I've always known about, but haven't heard much of their stuff. But I always dug them when I'd see them on TV. Mainly, on Austin City Limits. Plus, I played softball with Ray Benson once and he was a really cool guy.

I played these albums back to back while playing a video game and really haven't been paying attention to song titles. But the thing I was doing the whole time was tapping my toes. I especially liked the live album more. There are a lot of tunes I recognize like, "Choo Choo Ch Boogie", "God Bless The Child", "(Get Your Kicks On) Route 66", and "Miles and Miles of Texas". It was cool to hear these songs with a Western Swing slant.

I'm glad I have these records. They are fun to listen to and I'm sure fun to dance to. If only I could dance...

  1. You know we could go to the Broken Spoke sometime and learn how to two-step. Just saying.
