Day 24

The Allman Brothers Band- Enlightened Rogues

I picked this album up the same time I got the last AC/DC I listened to. Wasn't a record I was particularly looking for, but couldn't pass it up for the price.
Good record over all. Love the opening track "Crazy Love". That's the only song on here that I had heard previous. The other track I really dig on Side 1 is the instrumental "Pegasus". Wonder if they ever whip that one out live? Would be cool to see.
Side 2 was just as good if not better. Starts off with "Blind Love" which surprisingly has a co-songwriting credit by Don Johnson. Best song on this album though in my opinion is the album closer / heartbreaker "Sail Away" with Dickey Betts on lead vocal. As crazy as this may be, the more I listen to the Allmans, the more I'm starting to prefer Betts' lead vocal over Greg's. I know, I'm an idiot.
