Bodeans- Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams
It's no secret that I'm a huuuuuge Bodeans fan. I wear my badge proudly. Yeah, sure they aren't as good now as they were back in the 80's, but I still go see every show and buy every album. And they really are a great band live.
So this is their first album if you didn't know that already. Most people say it's their best, but I disagree. Don't get me wrong, I freakin' love this album, just not my favorite.
The "hits" that the Bodeans are probably known for the most are on this record: "She's A Runaway" and "Fadeaway". Good tunes, but I just get real sick of hearing them. Especially when I see them live for the millionth time and I know they are coming. They must really be sick of playing them too. "Closer To Free" falls in that category too.
My favorites on this record have always been "Say You Will" "Angels" and "Misery". But really, I love them all. For the Bodeans between 1986-1995, they could do no wrong in my book. Just wish those albums in the 90's got pressed on vinyl. Stupid 90's...
