Duran Duran- Seven and the Ragged Tiger
After having the pleasure of listening to Rio last night, I had high expectations for this album. Boy, was I let down. I didn't like "Reflex", "New Moon on Monday", and "Union of the Snake" back in 83-84 and I still don't in 2011. The rest of the album was worse. I'm not going to keep it, so if anybody wants it, its yours.
The main problem with this album is there is no hint of rock at all on the record. Pure, crappy 80's pop music. No wonder Andy Taylor left the band after this record. He was the only one that seemed to like to rock out. I remember digging his solo work, but can't remember the songs. I think I even had it on cassette. I'll be looking for it on vinyl now that I've thought about it.
I got a whole lot of Dylan coming up. I better go get my rest in preparation for it. Good night.
