Day 155

Bob Dylan- Blood On The Tracks

So I got some shit for my last blog entry being so short. C'mon dudes, cut me some slack. I'm doing 1000 of these. It's bound to happen from time to time. One of these days I'm gonna have a blog entry that is just the name of the artist and album title. Nothing else. Just you wait and see!

For those that don't know, I also have a Twitter feed. You can follow me at @1000daysvinyl. The reason I bring this up is every time that I've tweeted on there what Dylan album I've listened to, I get some dork named ro_bot_dylan who replies to me with Dylan lyrics. Seriously dude? I'm sure he doesn't even read this blog. Just does a keyword search for Dylan every night on Twitter and replies to everyone who mentions Bob. Wow. I wonder which song he'll post lyrics to tonight.

I think the majority of people agree that this is one of his all time best albums. I know it's the one of his that I've listened to the most. Two of my favorite songs of his are on this album being "Simple Twist of Fate" and "If You See Her, Say Hello". And of course our Dylan hoot night band's name come from this album as well (Idiot Wind).

I won't be blogging much this week for two reasons. One, next album is a four lp Dylan box set that I'm not going to listen to all of in one night and two, Jessica's brother is coming in to visit us from Kansas City from Thursday through Sunday. He'll be staying in my music room and it'd be quite rude of me to come in here and play a record while he's sleeping. I was making a funny of there for you folks that didn't get it. I haven't decided if I'll blog after each record I listen to of the box set or if I'll just wait until I'm done listening to all of it. I'll make my mind up tomorrow.

I found audio of Keith Richards, first farting and then doing his best Dylan impression on "If You See Her, Say Hello".

  1. New Yorker columnist and wit Dorothy Parker once missed a deadline and famously filled an entire page with two words, "pencil broke."

    Keep that in mind.
