Day 173

England Dan & John Ford Coley- Best Of

I'm sure as soon as you saw who I was listening to tonight you either laughed or said, "what the hell?". Well, for one, I got this record for free out of a Half Price grab bag and two, I really do love the song "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight". Who doesn't? Don't lie.

I just read their Wikipedia page and I had no idea that they started out in Austin. I didn't even know that England Dan and Dan Seals were the same person. Or that Dan Seals older brother was in Seals & Crofts. Oh how I love Wikipedia. Even if most of it is inaccurate.

Another thing that surprised me from reading their Wiki page is that they had six Top 40 hits. Really? Here I am listening to their best of album and I don't recognize a single song other than "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight". In fact, every other song sucks on this album but that one. I'm going to hold on to it until I find a K-Tel collection that has that tune on it though. I dig it too much to part with it.
