Day 183

Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs- The Story of Bonnie & Clyde

Now this is a very cool record. These guys are smoking good. I've heard them here and there in the past, but never a full album all the way through. There's a nice mix of vocal tracks and instrumentals and they break it up pretty evenly.

I've always been an 'outside looking in' type of fan of bluegrass. I know the names more than I know the music. And I suppose if you are a fair weathered fan, it can all sound similar. But listening closely to this album, I really got into it a lot.

This is the only bluegrass album I have on vinyl (I do have some tracks on the computer). I do plan on getting my hands on more. Especially more of theses guys, Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Ricky Skaggs, etc.
