Day 187

FM- Original Movie Soundtrack

Great soundtrack to a movie I've never seen. This is a double LP chock full of 70's classic rock hits we've all heard numerous times. I'm going to go ahead and do something that I haven't done since the early days of this blog and list the songs on the album, just so you can see what I'm talking about.

Boston-More Than A Feeling
Jimmy Buffet-Livingston Saturday Night
Doobie Brothers-It Keeps You Runnin'
Eagles-Life In The Fast Lane
Dan Fogelberg-There's A Place In The World For A Gambler
Foreigner-Cold As Ice
Billy Joel-Just The Way You Are
Randy Meisner-Bad Man
Steve Miller-Fly Like An Eagle
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers- Breakdown
Queen-We Will Rock You
Linda Ronstadt-Tumbling Dice & Poor Poor Pitiful Me
Boz Scaggs-Lido Shuffle
Bob Seger-Night Moves
Steely Dan-FM and Do It Again
James Taylor-Your Smiling Face
Joe Walsh-Life's Been Good

So as you can see, pretty stellar soundtrack. Except for Ronstadt's version of "Tumbling Dice". Really unnecessary and really lame. I dug "Lido Shuffle" a lot. I never knew that was a Boz Scaggs song. I used to own one Boz Scaggs album, but it was terrible. May have to track down the one with "Lido Shuffle" on it though.

As far as the movie goes, has anyone seen it? Any good?

I found a trailer for the movie. I think I'd rather stick to reruns of WKRP In Cincinnati.

  1. Thanks to Chris Berman, I will always associate Lito Shuffle with Lito Sheppard. I don't like Chris Berman.

  2. the movie is about the corporate takeover of a rock station in the 70's. pretty bad as I recall
