Day 188

John Fogerty- Centerfield

It's kinda amazing that a guy could take 10 years between releasing albums, and re-emerge on the scene with a classic like this. Everyone already knows that Fogerty is a bad ass and you should own this record. Is it even possible to hate a song like "Centerfield"? I don't think so.

I got to go with "Rock And Roll Girls" as my favorite track on here though. Just a great rock and roll tune. And of course there is also "The Old Man Down The Road". I'm still kicking myself for not seeing his set at the ACL Fest a couple of years ago. I heard he killed it.

Now for non-Fogerty content, I wanted to let everyone know that I am now the co-editor for The Vinyl District: Austin. Although vinyl will be the forefront of the website, we'll be covering all things music related in this town. TVD: Austin is just one of 14 cities in the TVD network. It's a great site for all vinyl aficionados and music lovers in general. Please check us out! www.thevinyldistrict.com

  1. It would have been cool if this post had coincided with opening day. (which should be a national holiday in my opinion)
