Day 193

Foreigner- Double Vision

No sophomore slump for Foreigner on this record. Another album chock full of now classic 7o's rockers. Obviously the title track, "Double Vision" is on here, as is "Hot Blooded" which leads off the album, and my favorite song on the album and maybe by Foreigner period, "Blue Morning, Blue Day".

There are a couple of duds on this record though. I really couldn't stand "You're All I Am", and the only Foreigner instrumental on a studio record, "Tramontaine" is absolutely the definition of "album filler". Too bad since I love instrumentals usually.

Another question I have about this record that I can't find the answer to is there are two songs on this album, "Back Where You Belong" and "I Have Waited So Long" that are not sung by Lou Gramm. So who is singing them? Mick Jones? I don't get it. They aren't bad songs, but you got Lou Gramm in your band, use him!
