Day 243

Don Henley- I Can't Stand Still

After having gone through all those Eagles records I have, you kinda already knew I had to have some Don Henley too, right?

I bought this album just for the song "Dirty Laundry" and thought that the rest of the album was going to suck, but it's actually pretty good. It kicked in for me with the fourth song on this record, "Nobody's Business". That song is so good I listened to it twice.

Side 2 was particulary strong. From the hit single, "Dirty Laundry", to the rocker "Johnny Can't Read" and the reggae tinged album closer, "The Unclouded Day", just really solid all the way through.

I'm actually really glad I bought this album for .50 cents! Now lets see if Building The Perfect Beast can compete with it.

  1. Damn, I couldn't disagree more. I do like some Eagles stuff, mostly their country phase but anything solo Don Henley is terrible. 'Dirty Laundry' has always been one of my goto worst songs ever along with Bonnie Raitt's 'Let's Give Em Something to Talk About'. They both are awful but only one makes me literally feel nauseous. (and yes, I do know the proper definition of literally).
