The Jam- Snap!
I still don't understand how The Jam didn't make it big Stateside like The Clash did. Same timeframe, just as good. Hell, I think I may like The Jam better actually.
This is a double lp of "greatest hits" which I know is laughable in the States because most people over here probably couldn't name you one song by The Jam, which is unfortunate. So every non-Jam or fair weathered Jam fan should get this record. I bet you even recognize some of the tunes.
The Jam are another one of those bands where I do think it would be cool to see them get back together because then it would give me a chance to see them live, but at the same time I think it's cool that Paul Weller wants nothing to do with a Jam reunion. There really aren't that many bands left that haven't reunited. These guys, The Smiths, who else? I can't think of any others right now.
Oh well. I'm sure I'll think of other bands later. Anyways, I'm really happy to own this on vinyl. I would love to have their whole catalog, but this is the only record of theirs I've only ever come across. I do have a bunch of their stuff on CD though.
