Day 283

Jefferson Starship- Modern Times

I think when it's all said and done, this might end up as the worst record in my collection. I'm actually upset with myself for spending .67 cents on this album.

Here's the story. I was working one night at Waterloo Records and this album was sold back to the store. I have always dug the single, "Find Your Way Back" so I said what the hell and bought it. I only worked at Waterloo one night a week and had a real problem of having to buy something each time. That's how you end up with crap like this.

If you take off the track, "Find Your Way Back" you really do have one of the worst albums I've ever heard. You almost need to hear the last cut on the album, "Stairway To Cleveland" to really understand how pathetic, yet hilarious it is. And why is Grace Slick even in the band on this album? I don't think I heard her once. I always thought she was a waste. Did they just keep her around so that she could sing "Somebody To Love" in concert?

I will say the only good thing about the record is Craig Chaquico has some nice solos. But even that isn't worth my .67 cents.

Awesome! I found that piece of crap "Stairway To Cleveland" on youtube. Enjoy
