Kansas- Song For America & Leftoverture

I was always a casual Kansas fan that always just dug their hits like "Point of No Return" and "Carry On Wayward Son". I can't ever recall owning any of their albums when I was a kid. But now I find myself having five of their releases on vinyl. Weird how that works.

I totally dug these first two records. I didn't recognize a single song of off Song for America but I was getting into it. Leftoverture is definitely the stronger album though.

I was shocked when I just researched this album. It's crazy that 5 million copies of this records has been sold. And that's with "Carry On Wayward Son" only reaching #11 on the charts! That's why I love the 70's. People cared about music way more back then. Hell, does Katy Perry even reach 5 million records sold now?

In case you were wondering, Kansas is still active and touring. I know a lot of you would laugh at that or say they need to hang it up, but why? It sure as hell beats our crappy 9-5 jobs.

So good for you Kansas, keep on rockin'!
