Day 368

Los Lobos- By The Light of the Moon

I really didn't "get" Los Lobos until 1993 when they released the compilation Just Another Band From East L.A. Before that, all I really knew was their version of "La Bamba" and that got played so much I was sick of it.

But in '93, I was working at Sound Warehouse in Dallas and got that compilation as a promo copy. And even though I say now that "Will The Wolf Survive" is one of my favorite songs from the 80's, it was the song "One Time One Night" that really opened up my ears to Los Lobos.

Such a great song and the reason why I grabbed this on vinyl over the weekend. So that being said, I was highly disappointed when I put it on the turntable last night and "One Time One Night" skips. Ugh.

The rest of the album is fine (and good) but this really bums me out. I paid $10 for this record and can't return it! Guess its my fault for being lazy and not checking the condition of the record before I bought it.
